Berkeley and then spending two years on the island of Pohnpei; David got back into swimming via triathlons. Then the pure form of long distance swimming took hold. David is one of the first members of Team Night Train that swam the English Channel in 2008. Other notable swims include: touching the buoy at the Farallon Island to complete the relay swim in 2011 and winning the Mayors Cup at RCP Tiburon Mile.

Francisco Bay area. She is a member of the Dolphin Club of San Francisco,

South End Rowing Club, and North Bay Aquatics.  Kim has been swimming for just over two

years, discovering her passion for the sport while rehabilitating a

life-threatening leg injury.

26.4 nautical miles from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Farallon Islands.

Two weeks later, she organized and participated in the first ever

all-female relay swim to the Farallon Islands. That same year Kim swam the

English Channel with a relay team from the Dolphin Club.

On March 5th 2012, Kim made a successful solo crossing of the Cook Strait.

Swimming from the South Island to the North Island of New Zealand, Kim

completed the swim in 8 hours 26 minutes.
